Year end dilemma..school holiday fever!

For most kids it's nearing the exciting year end where school holidays are just around the corner but for poor mommy (who is not wrking since our "Indonesian alien" betrayor left us) it's gonna be a year end dilemma & "empty pocket phobia".
Why?

School holidays = more expenses (treats for kids, EVEN FOR SMALL simple vacation or outings coz mommy got 4 kids)

Year end = more expenses for Xmas gifts, E E's wedding (auspicious month), getting ready for school next year (uniform, books, new registration for nursery, etc, etc).

It's really no fun when you need to restrict your spending so much!
Do you have the same phobia of going through this Empty Pocket syndrome?

The Pink Sisterhood is in the bloggerhood!

I really appreciate this tag which I received from blessed Mum, Mummy Moon , Agnes and 3lilangels. Thks mommies for sharing tag with me.

And to all my fellow bloggers who read this message, please feel free to grab this tag, help spreading the breast cancer awareness. Thanks!

This one is all about breast cancer, which everyone knows is one of the most life-threatening diseases today. I’m doing my part in spreading awareness on breast cancer by sharing some scary yet so very true facts on breast cancer. Ladies, do take note!

* One in eight women or 12.6% of all women will get breast cancer in her lifetime.

* Breast cancer risk increases with age and every woman is at risk.

* Every 13 minutes a woman dies of breast cancer.

* Seventy-seven percent of women with breast cancer are over 50.

* Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women between the ages of 15 and 54, and the second cause of cancer death in women 55 to 74.

* Risks for breast cancer include a family history, atypical hyperplasia, early menstruation (before age 12), late menopause (after age 55), current use or use in the last ten years of oral contraceptives, and daily consumption of alcohol.

* Early detection of breast cancer, through monthly breast self-exam and particularly yearly mammography after age 40, offers the best chance for survival.

Proximidade Award!!

I felt so honoured to receive another award ..this time a Portugese word Award from Ling and Little Prince mommy and CreativeBBee. Out of curiosity, Ling diligently googled the word "proximidade". It is a Portuguese word which means "proximity" or "nearness". She thinks it means this blog or blogging makes us feel close together ? I agree with her completely..whatever the real meaning of this award, I'm dedicating it in return to her & 7 other bloggers here:

1) Beng beng
2) Daddy
3)angeline
4) tammy
5) kathleen
6) Alicia
7) TSY

They all are charmed with the blogs, where in the majority of its aims are to show the marvels and to do friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut or that they propagate? Then let’s try to give more attention to them! So with this prize please deliver it to 8 bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this text.

My ambitious Idea may come true afterall..if there are takers!

Referring back to my previous post on this, my ambitious idea may work depending on the feedback, response & outcome.

I was lucky for the secondtime after the first, when knew a counterpart who is kind of close to the High5's manageress. She was kind enough to sponsor some entrance tickets for adults to the Breadtown(Factory/Museum).Normal price RM15 each.

Otherwise the rates & packaging are as follows:

So for mommy/daddy bloggers staying near Shah Alam or Selangor or anywhere you think is possible to take up this complimentary tickets for 2 adults..let me know by end of this week or latest 31October 08 so that I could arrange to get you the tickets.
The Breadtown only accept prebooking tours.
Operation Hours
Monday to Friday - 9.00am to 6.00pm
Closed on Wednesday
Saturday & Sunday - 9.00am to 6.00pm

I personally planning to go during December school holidays on 28Dec 2008(Sunday) which is the eve of a Public Holiday(Awal Muharram) on 29th Monday. (Subject to change depending on the response of this offer!
Since it's school holiday , the kids will sure enjoy it ...unless you have got other plans!

Accomodation & food on your own. (I'm trying to get complimentary High 5 meals during the tour at the factory)

So any takers? Let me knw by 31 October 2008 OK!

sushi mould become rice mould.

I used the sushi mould which I bought from the 100yen shop to put rice instead..my kids love the effect.
My gals finished up all the rice which they would normally have left overs.

Nice?

As for mommy..just eating from a bowl & using chopsticks (quite a long while didnt use chopsticks oredi). Emm dont knw psychology or what, somehow the rice & dishes tasted better. Maybe due to the fact that I brought the bowl nearer to my nose as i shuffle the rice to my mouth with chopsticks..so can appreciate the smell that increase my appetite!!

Poco Poco..great stress buster & tool to sweat & loose weight.

Enjoy this video even if you are not a dance lover or a weight reduction freak.

I used to conduct this dance for my OBESE patients (adults & kids) once a week and I personally love to do this with my kids to sweat out without exercising outdoor.

Great way to sweat out, loose wt, improve your cardiac fitness & boost some adrenalin & release stress.

Even my 4 year old love it.Take a look:

BTW this dance is being enjoyed worldwide: Japan, USA, Malaysia besides the origin in Indonesia.

100 yen store sudah mali in town.

Happened to passed by Ipoh Parade today and saw this new shop called "100 yen" shop.
Obvious frm the name....the items are made in Japan and all selling at RM4.90 (must be equivalent to 100 yen lor).

What one can find there...almost anything from household : kitchen wear, gadgets, utensils, canned food, Japanese snacks, noodles, clothes, photo frame, etc.

My favourite are the bento boxes..must be influenced by my twin kaki Jacs' collection. I found the "Lilo & Stitch" lunch box but didnt buy as there were last 2 left. The sales girl asked to come back for more..got some more in their gudang. Today is their 2nd day open shop..so many things sudah laris liao!

Bought a few items oni..quite expensive actually if you add up the total. These are what i bought;

Timer (i think this is quite a fair buy as most shops selling close to RM10)

sushi mould (love shape, star shape & bear shape)

Hair ties..to play with my hair which I'm getting bored with.

Suddenly I'm in the mood to learn how to make simple sushi...anyone is willing to teach me ..what rice I need to buy..I am a real dummy in this. Havent made sushi in my life..oni knw how to buy & eat! So any sifu willing to teach me step by step?

Busy Sunday..canned food lunch!

It's spring cleaning time for the whole family!!

Daddy cleans the aircond filters,

The twins tidy their room & change bedsheet,

The little girls clear their stuff to give away to Hannah Orphanage home

Mommy does the supportive role & be the cook.

Mom made us simple breakfast(...comprises of a combo : spaghetti, fries, fried sausages & leftover Lychee taufu fah pudding) & lunch to cut cost.

Our lunch is simple 3 dish meal

..1) canned food curry chicken with added potatoes,

2) Yeos canned baked beans (Mom added Mickey head cut out cheese as topping)

and 3) mommy's mi sua soup (with fried egg & dried prawns & fish balls).

As for dinner...a pot of herbal chicken soup (with mushroom, bamboo shoots, red dates, pak kay & scallops) to go with rice.

That also makes mommy so tired. Must be the aging factor.
