Wanna find out more about my rewarding comping hobby . Please check it out here: http://contestaddict.blogspot.com.
While we were in Malacca to collect our Winning Prize, we managed to indulge ourselves with the local Malacca Nyoya food at Nancy;s kitchen. Check out what we had here:

May - the pocket straining month

For me, MAY is a very lucky month because it's my birth month
as well as my twin 's. It's also a month full of celebrations like
Mothers' Day, Teachers' day, nurses's day, Wesak day , etc.
Due to all these celebrations of joy, one would obviously find it
pocket straining to buy gifts n spend on birthday bash like me.
Nonetheless, I believe in good karma, giving our fellow loved ones n friends
a treat is a way of sharing love and celebrating joy. It will somehow come
back to us in other forms of goodwill.

Recently I received my cheque and hamper from maggie from my long pending
contest winning. The prize really comes handy on this month of May!!Thks Maggi!
Don't u think so?

Best Mother's Day Experience Ever

As a lady, who doesnt wanna have a feel of looking her best , dressed pretty, have her hairdo , make up & nails done by the professionals - all sponsored?
This dream gave me the inspiration to sign up for the "My Lovely Mom Award" competition held just recently on Labours' Day.
Registration fee was only RM 50 and contestants got the chance to do studio photo shoots by professional with all make up & hairdo & 1 dinner gown sponsored during the photo shoot. They will be wearing the same gown during the Finals on that competition Nite. Besides, the contestant will also get 2 8R portraits where one will be sent for competition judging and the other for self keeping.
Really had great fun learning how to groom, how to catwalk, pose elegantly & look slim in front of camera, spotlight & reporters etc. The most challenging was having to walk in 3 inches high heel (which I never done before) after wearing the gown which is longer than me. ha Ha!
so did I win? Of course! I won:
1) New friendship (knowing other Mothers age frm 30 plus to 58)
2) Memorable & Fun Experience
3) The courage to try again next time.
The winners were mainly in their mid 40s and 50's - the judges' favourites to bag the Titles Of Champion, 1st & 2nd Runner up, Most Photogenic, Most Popular, Most Charming, Most Elegant & The Oldest Mom Award!

Perhaps I should gear myself up to take part again in 10 years time to stand a better chance hoh?
Happy Mothers day to all the lovely Moms out there!

Visit to High5 Breadtwn..finally came true!
Refering to my earlier post on this, the day finally came...28Dec 2008.
Managed to gather 6 families: 3 were my ex classmates & schoolmates SP & TSY & Beatrice and 1 was my blogger fren Jac with twins, too. The other family was Jac's collegue.Of course not forgetting my own family of 6 members.
For those of you who have not been there, here's a little brief intro about it:
About High5 Bread Town
High 5 Bread Town, the first of its kind in the world was officially opened by The Honourable Minister Of International Trade & Industry on 25th May 2005. The brainchild of Silver Bird Group Managing Director Dato Jackson Tan, High 5 Bread Town is a truly unique attraction of its class. High 5 Bread Town is the architectural masterpiece showcase of the RM100 mil state-of-the-art plant of Silver Bird Group factory located on 6.07ha plant in Shah Alam. High 5 Bread Town was certified in the Malaysia Book of Records as the “First Bread Museum” in Malaysia.
With an enormous floor size, High 5 Bread Town is an attraction which caters to visitors of all ages, promising a time of fun, excitement and learning for the whole family. Being one of the latest tourist attraction in Malaysia which embrace and incorporate only the best museum state of the art technology system, High 5 Bread Town offer our guest a touted as the "a walkthrough on the history of bread" with emphasis on bread development timeline, it is definitely a "must see" to experience it!
The factory is huge & really eye-opening though the kids felt a bit bored with the power point show. Later they had great fun running about & enjoying each others' boisterous company.
My family enjoyed not only the tour but the companionship of the new friends & old friends whom we met that day. That was the first time I met Jac, one great blogger who also had twins Scott & Sean Heng. My twins enjoyed their companionship. Not forgetting Sara..the only princess of SP and hubby who were kind enough to host us with their warm hospitality at their warm & cozy home. My kids cant stop mentioning about Sara even after they got home. As for SY and her lovely kids, we do hope we could meet up again for another local family vacation next year.
Real pleasure meeting up with you people. Thks for the wonderful time.
Here's a little souvenir from me for remembrance to all of you who were there:
The tourguide told us that in one day this factory can produce 30,000 cream rolls for ditribution nationwide & ship out within 4 hours.
After the tour, SP, TSY and my family went to PJ to have yong tau fu.
Gosh we drove back to Ipoh after that. It was a really relax drive though it was a wet day, raining almost towards the late evening & night.

My ambitious Idea may come true afterall..if there are takers!
Referring back to my previous post on this, my ambitious idea may work depending on the feedback, response & outcome.
I was lucky for the secondtime after the first, when knew a counterpart who is kind of close to the High5's manageress. She was kind enough to sponsor some entrance tickets for adults to the Breadtown(Factory/Museum).Normal price RM15 each.
Otherwise the rates & packaging are as follows:
So for mommy/daddy bloggers staying near Shah Alam or Selangor or anywhere you think is possible to take up this complimentary tickets for 2 adults..let me know by end of this week or latest 31October 08 so that I could arrange to get you the tickets.
The Breadtown only accept prebooking tours.
Operation Hours
Monday to Friday - 9.00am to 6.00pm
Closed on Wednesday
Saturday & Sunday - 9.00am to 6.00pm
I personally planning to go during December school holidays on 28Dec 2008(Sunday) which is the eve of a Public Holiday(Awal Muharram) on 29th Monday. (Subject to change depending on the response of this offer!
Since it's school holiday , the kids will sure enjoy it ...unless you have got other plans!
Accomodation & food on your own. (I'm trying to get complimentary High 5 meals during the tour at the factory)
So any takers? Let me knw by 31 October 2008 OK!

I've collected My 1st Prize...iPOD Shuffle
The Senior Operations Manager Mr.Wong & another manager Alex were there to present the prize ...1 unit iPOD shuffle & 2 cartons (24 X 2 cans) of RC Cola for me to enjoy with my family & friends.

This is the close up pic of the Ipod..very small & compact ideal for jogging/ shopping.
.jpg)
Though not as expensive as the one I won last time but it's the joy of winning that counts.
I've also learnt something from the managers aboput their other product KICKAPOO.
Take a look at this picture.
Do you knw which one is genuine and which one is "pirated" ?
.jpg)
The original (genuine) KICKAPOO has a green cap, with the words (Tanpa Kafein) Caffein free & also the Chinese characters read "KIT kar poh" and not "KAT Kar poh" in mandarin. Sorry I dont know Mandarin but at least I can see the difference in the chinese characters here.
The fake one is taller and has a Yellow cap without the kICKapoo logo on the cap. Others exactly the same ..dats why many consumers cant differentiate them.
So those of you KICKAPOO lovers like me out there make sure you look for the genuine ones when you purchase the next time. The original one is of course priced higher than the fake one but the taste is more genuine , too. I've been a KICKAPOO lover since childhood. It has been around even before I was born. BTW, I'm not paid to do this post OK, just trying to help do justice to the KICKAPOO company who is sueing the company who faked their product.
For your info, KICKAPOO also has a product called VIMTO..something like RIBENA. Tried before? What are you waiting for..go grab your original KICKAPOO, RC Cola & VIMTO and enjoy while you blog!
Thnks again KICKAPOO for the chance to win in your contest.
