Relaxation at CWS 4th Day of CNY

CNY Part 3

Since UK aunt is a nature lover & loves retreat, we took her to Clearwater Sanctuary in Batu Gajah on the 5th Day of CNY. This is the place near the spot where the film "The King & I " played by Chow Yuen Fatt & Jodie Foster was shot.

There were many activities one can do in CWS such as swimming, fishing, boating, kayak-ing, bird watching, bicyling, games like tennis, badminton, squash; achery, & golfing.

Aunt Chris really enjoyed the serene views & all the natural landscapes there which she could hardly find in the place she stays in UK.

Here are some of the pics taken.

After this outing, we rushed back home for the reunion dinner sponsored by Aunt Chris at a famous local restaurant. we booked 5 tables for about 50 family members.

How was your CNY outings & family reunion? Bet you have a splendid time, too!

Simple Sunday Outing to Historical Kellie's Castle , BG

There will not be any write up about this historical castle as I believe there will be ample online information from internet search engine on this tourist spot.

For more pics of this unique castle.., pls drop by my other blog on vacation here.

Maggi Sunday

The weather was cool & wet today.

Woke up at 7am as usual despite a beautiful Sunday. Went to market with my "littlest" to buy groceries to cook breakfast, lunch & dinner(to cut cost).
Nowadays eating out can really drain the wallet..easily RM60 for 3 meals for a family of 6 like mine. With RM60 or less, I could cook 3 meals (I mean nutritious & to my family's tastebuds food)

What did I cook this Sunday?

Breakfast:

Pineapple & Chicken Fried rice

Lunch:
My kids had pestered me to make them Maggi. So I made different variety of maggi to suit their individual taste for my entire family...but with lots of vege & protein added (to force them to eat the vege,i had to chop them finely when preparing the ingredients)

1) Mama-k Mi Goreng Tai look Min
(For my daughters who loves KON LOW(dry ) & non spicy style

2) Maggi Mee with Chicken Bolognaise style for my twins after their Taekwando

3) Maggi Goreng ALa Kampung with Ikan Kembong & Sawi (for my dear)

4) Green Curry Sausage-Seafood Maggi for myself.(taxed by my big eater 2nd twin)

After lunch especially after such a MASSIVE cooking, one will expect a lot of washing up to do. My twins washed the dishes, the girls wiped them, hubby iron clothes & I cleaned up the messy kitchen.

After that, we head to Batu Gajah again ..this time not for golf but to the historical Kellie's Castle. Stay tune for the updates on my next post on this simple outing.

Help!! I gained 2 Kg after Raya & Mooncake festival goodies!

Yes..it just shown on my weighing machine that I've put on the extra FATs..
I seriously need to workout in order to enjoy the coming Deepavali goodies.

Besides I'm also worried about the pimples and cellulites which are getting more visible nowadays. How can a freckled face like mine has pimples? Cellulites on my posterior thighs,(Yucks..ugly!), extra contour over the sides of my thighs ( so improportionate!)?

Must be the oily food & all the sinful stuff that I have been indulging in past few months. Must be the STRESS? Must be the hormonal imbalance in my body!

Gosh..must really start my workout & exercise to burn all the extra FAT & detoxify my body. I must reshape & look better by this coming Chinese New Year if not Christmas! I plan to go to Clearwater Club in Batu Gajah every weekend to join the aerobics & yoga while hub goes golf & kids swim & game.

p.s Will also try to get my other half to join my "new resolution"!

My simple Saturday morning till evening - just Me & my 4 kids

Hubby has left home as early as 8am to be with his friends at Damai Laut for Golf (18 holes).

The kids and I had the luxury to sleep till about 10am as I do not have locum like usual Saturdays. So what did the 5 of us do before daddy came home?

1) Breakfast - I reheat the Murtabak (our favorite during Ramadhan month)with the pink coloured shalots in sugar water. Emm yummilicious!!

2) Kids helped me with laundry and washing up before we left for lunch around 1pm

3)) Lunch @ KFC- kids had Cheezy chickaroni while I had the Zinger fillet rice & coleslaw.

Also bought the promotional KFC Zinger watches for the girls:

4)Then we proceed to JUSCO to "lepak" (walk around) and shop for my groceries.
a) The kids had fun walking around with their new cartoon masks:

b) They were also greeted by Cadbury Mascot Pink JUMBO and the promoter kor kor who gave them balloons:

5) Then sent the twins kor kor for Taekwando after which I took the Mei Meis to Pologround :

Then hubby came back an hour after we were at the playground.

So this good wifey had decided to cook 3 simplicious dishes to go with warm rice for BUKA PUASA(break fast for MUSLIMS). Wanna knw what i cooked..stay tune to my next post.

Our simple Saturday

I had to run some errands in the morning & chauffer mum to buy fruits & food for offerings to dad & other deceased ancestors at the Kek Lok Seah temple at 1.30pm today.

After all the errands were done, we went out for ala carte lunch at the Wooley food court. Some ordered Vietnamese Chicken chop rice, some had Penang fried kueh tiaw, some had spaghetti & sizzling pan mee. We "ta pau" (takeaway some of my dad's favorite dishes & rice in a tiffin carrier to offer him at the temple)

After lunch we proceeded to Kek Lok Seah temple for the prayers.

After the prayers, we adjourned home & spent time at home as it was drizzling again.

At night I cooked these for my family:

1) Ku low Yook (Sweet Sour Mini Pork chops)

2) Tauchu Taufu On Taufu (First deep fry 3 taufu. Use one of it & mashed it up to cook with minced meat & tauchu, then pour back onto the fried ones)

3) Drunked Popeye (spinach with chinese cooking wine)

For tomorrow picnic: nasi lemak with tamarind sardine, & sambal cuttlefish,

Will fry burgers, sausages , popcorn chicken & fried eggs tomorrow morning itself.

Stay tune on my next post on the Picnic.
