Twins took taekwando green tip exam today !

I'm very happy to hear frm the twins' taekwando master that they are doing well in this martial art. I was told they could easily do the Back kick very well compared to many other kids as this stunt is not an easy one. As for the basic steps , they tend to do it wishy washyly as they find them a bit boring. That's the main problem with my twins. They are not low IQ but very playful, easily distracted & have no heart to do something which is monotonus though they are the essential basics. In school they are also playful & talkative instead of concentrating on lessons & finish their homework.
Almost all teachers give the same remark!

These are some of the shots i took while they were doing their Taekwando green tip test:

Boys, mommy know you are very creative & could excel but if only both of you would just put in a little effort to do more revision & concentrate on your studies...then I'm sure you both would perform much better in whatever you do.

Those of you who have school going kids or twins who are schooling, do you face the same problem of them being too playful & not concentrating in class? I really admire some of my friends'kids who are self driven to do their homework & diligently study on their own when exam comes...definitely not my twins!

Thaipusam parade, kids activities, housechores, chocolate puddings & more...

Since daddy is away outastation for golf with a group of friends frm Penang, mommy had to babysit the four of us alone today.

First she drove us out purposely to welcome the traffic jam in order to let us watch closely the Thaipusam parade & kavadi bearers (which is a sure No No if daddy is around because daddy hates crowded & jammed places). Then she sent us twins Daniel & Dennis to taekwando lessons & mei mei Jasmine to KinderBear music lesson at Susan cheh che's studio. Juliana didnt want to follow as she prefers to stay at home & sleep (emmm this girl really has her own character).

Back home, mommy vaccumed & washed her MPV & wiped the interior with antibacterial multi surface cleaner. After that she vaccum the carpets in the house & did all the laundry before picking us up for lunch.

We had lunch at this coffeeshop called YAT YAT SENG where one can find yummy Kai Si Hor Fun (stripped chicken kueh teow soup) which taste better than the commercialised Low Wong nga choy kai in town (where most tourists would go.)Susan cheh cheh was also there for thier famous Chicken rice that comes with free soup .

After lunch , mommy went round the neighbourhood to distribute the chocolate puddings that she made yesterday to our close friends.

Knock knock...daddy is home at last frm his golf! Yippeee it will be family time again tonight.
So what's cooking? Probably mommy's spaghetti our all time favourite..this time seafood spaghetti.
Then may be we will go for a cinema show (mommy won 3 tickets for Golden screen cinema show).
Having said all the above planned items, it will still be weather dependant.!

Have a GREAT WEEKEND everyone!

Our beautiful Sunday 21.9.08

Today is a very exciting and important day for us (the 9 yr old twins boys). Today our Taekwando Master will be conducting a test for us white belts.

So first thing in the morning, mom has prepared very nice & nourishing breakfast for us. She called it Mommy's Combo Breakfast.
Take a look... another simple yet healthy and appetising meal to kick start our day.
Combo breakfast (Fried crabstick, french fries, steam sausage, Mini Maggie Mee & Japanese cucumber with Mayo(to force us to take some vege).

Then we went for our Taekwando lesson and test. The result will only be out next week. we were sooooo nervous and made a lot of mistakes.

After that mom and dad took us out for lunch to give mom a break from cooking. After that we went to TESCO to do some shopping and hang out. We dropped by the GINTELL shop.

First we did some "KUNGFU fighting" on the machine on display.

Then daddy couldnt resist and joined us.

Next we tried the massage chair...

mom oso cant resist but pamper herself with body massage while dad on the background was busy tryig out the bicycle.

After all the fun, we adjourned home and mom has to prepare dinner for us. What did we have for dinner?

Simple homecook chicky meatball tomato, garlic & basil spaghetti...yummy!!!
BTW the basil was plucked from mom's herb garden.

She finds it very convenient to use the spaghetti pot which she won from San Remo contest. As she pours out the boiling water, mom simultaneously had her facial steam!!

Then for dessert, we made orange and sarsaparilla (sarsi) sherbert made from this icecube bag which mom bought from Jusco.

After dinner we help mommy to wash dishes and hang her laundry.

That was our fruitful beautiful Sunday!

My Twins finally got their taekwondo badges!

Yesterday my twin boys came back from their Taekwondo class and excitedly exclaimed "Mommy mommy..please sew these badges onto our taekwondo baju (uniform).

They finally got the badge from their Master after successfully attending their lessons for about 2 months now.

At least they found something they like. Tried enrolling them for MUSIC (Bethoven??) when they were 3 yrs old but they both went and hid behind the piano. They aren't music inclined. Signed them up for ART class. Attended for 1 year but never see them doing a nice painting or crayon coloring the way the Art teacher taught them. However , they enjoy drawing cartoon strips and make comic story books.

Sigh! Sigh!
I don't mean to push them but trying to develope their Right brain.

Do yo have problems trying to indulge your kids in something? How's the outcome?
