Extended Merdeka Public Holiday..I could do more

Since Merdeka day fell on a Sunday, today we could enjoy another extended holiday.

As usual, whenever there is chance to do something new, mommy would indulge herself. She bought 2 boxes of hair beads from SINMA hair accessories shop in Jaya Jusco that day and started her new adventure of hair beading for me (Jasmine). Cheh cheh Juliana was not keen as she prefers to tie her hair - her own way!

Mom struggled in the beginning but after repeated beading, she finally got the hank of it but..still not very neatlah!

How do I look?

Merdeka Day....family outing at Clearwater Sanctuary, Batu Gajah

Daddy decided to go golfing again at Clearwater and we as usual tagged along to have our share of fun at the poolside.

While we the twins were having fun splashing in the pool, our sisters were busy eating with mom

and modelling for mom.

Do you think they have the potentials to be models or do you agree with us that they are Vainpots 008??

Merdeka longgg stretccchh of holidays! Part 2

Since it's school holidays and daddy is around to help look after the kids, mommy spent some time to try out making "sponge cake Bahulu".

Very very easy or else mommy wont have to experty to do it like some of you bloggers out there (too many to quote here).

Just need to buy this box of bahulu flour..

then add 4 eggs, beat them
Then add soft drinks (mommy use Vanilla Coke..actually Ice Cream soda would taste and smell better).
Finally steam them

You can be creative and try baking it like this. Mommy prefers it baked. Crispier.

..and also add chocolate chips like what mommy did. Once it is steamed for about 20-30 minutes, here's the result:

P.S To be honest mommy, I think the Bahulu taste good except they are abit hard. You expert bakers out there , what should mommy do to rectify this problem?

Do you like to dress your twins or multiples the same or not?

Some mothers love to dress their twins the same but some no.

Some of the possible reasons of dressing them the same could be the following:

1) They look more Twin or triplets etc (even if they are not identical)

2) Easier to shop for clothes with the same design

3) The twins or mutilpes look cuter that way

4) Easier to track them once they start to walk especially in shopping malls.

Some parents prefer to dress them different according to their colour preference to shape the twins' or multiples' individuality.

Do you agree with the above? How do you prefer to dress them alike or different?

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka! Happy Merdeka Malaysians!

On the eve of Merdeka night...we heard PoM..PoM..POM.. so loud even the windows of our house vibrated due to the fireworks at the Dataran Ipoh which we could see from the sky outside our house. Too bad the kids sleep already.

I told my hubby "Dear, Let's go see the National parade outside the Ipoh Railway station tomorrow on Merdeka day?" He said "Nolah , sure very crowded and jam!"

I said "Aisay..let your kids appreciate the Merdeka spirit, mah!"

Hubby said "Can see from television tomorow morning !"

So on the Merdeka morning I switched on the TV and asked my twins to watch as they are old enough to appreciate the spirit. They were so excited to watch the parade and also sang along with the national songs and the merdeka theme songs.

Do you share with your kids about Merdeka spirit.? Are they old enough to understand and appreciate it?
