Tday is 4th July.
The weather is so friendly and cool.

My 11 yrs old twins' friend DX is back frm Melbourne for his school break.

Took them to Clearwater Sanctuary BG for swimming, some fellowship & ctching up since these classmates hv nt met for past 6 months after DX migrated to Australia.

School Holiday & Merdeka Eve Picnic

Good weather..succesful picnic today. Yes!!!

I invited my old classmate Jas & her family to join mine. I made Nasi Tak Lemak with sambal cuttlefish & tamarind sardine with fried egg, fried aome burgers, sausages & POPCorn chicken, while Jas' made fried mee hoon & made sandwiches.we also had snack like Chickadees & Mamee monster.

The kids had fun flying the kites, played badminton, blowed bubbles & running all over.

Simple & economical outing, great fellowship & family bonding...better than going to enclosed/ indoor places during this H1N1 pandemic, rite?

3rd day CNY with ex schoolmates of 20yrs ago

Met up with some good old friends from my alma mater 20 yrs ago.
Venue: Casuarina Hotel
buffet luncheon.

Though not many turned up but I was happy to meet friends like Mei Poh & kids, Sam & fmily, Kia Puay with hubby & daughter, Yin May, Debbie, Karen Lam & See Yoon with daughter at the above gathering today.

I brought my 4 kids & my mom along. Regret that not able to catch up much as some of us mommies were busy looking after our own kids. Nevertheless, really nice to meet old friends on this auspicious day.

May God bless our friendship for many more years to come & wish that next year the turn out would be better .

Visit to High5 Breadtwn..finally came true!

Refering to my earlier post on this, the day finally came...28Dec 2008.

Managed to gather 6 families: 3 were my ex classmates & schoolmates SP & TSY & Beatrice and 1 was my blogger fren Jac with twins, too. The other family was Jac's collegue.Of course not forgetting my own family of 6 members.

For those of you who have not been there, here's a little brief intro about it:

The factory is huge & really eye-opening though the kids felt a bit bored with the power point show. Later they had great fun running about & enjoying each others' boisterous company.

My family enjoyed not only the tour but the companionship of the new friends & old friends whom we met that day. That was the first time I met Jac, one great blogger who also had twins Scott & Sean Heng. My twins enjoyed their companionship. Not forgetting Sara..the only princess of SP and hubby who were kind enough to host us with their warm hospitality at their warm & cozy home. My kids cant stop mentioning about Sara even after they got home. As for SY and her lovely kids, we do hope we could meet up again for another local family vacation next year.

Real pleasure meeting up with you people. Thks for the wonderful time.

Here's a little souvenir from me for remembrance to all of you who were there:

The tourguide told us that in one day this factory can produce 30,000 cream rolls for ditribution nationwide & ship out within 4 hours.

After the tour, SP, TSY and my family went to PJ to have yong tau fu.



Gosh we drove back to Ipoh after that. It was a really relax drive though it was a wet day, raining almost towards the late evening & night.

Hi everyone,
How was your count dwn to New Year 2008?
Mind was a simple countdown at San Marco ice-cream parlour with a couple friends and their two lovely daughters who came back from China.

Then on 1st Jan , we had dinner with our Malaysian old friend who married an Italian hubby and now both staying in Bangladesh. Simple yet fulfilling dinner with Banana leaf Fried kueh tiaw, Sate, Sparkling Juice and Chocolate moist cake. The kids had pillow fight in the room while the adults had a great time catching up and chatting.

Had a sing along guitar session with our Italian friend playing the guitar and we sang to the tune. Most of the songs we sang were kids song to make sure our kids were not left out.

Both our friends from China & Bangladesh left today. Perhaps we might visit China friends in May 2008 before the busy Olympic months arrive.
