Twins took taekwando green tip exam today !

I'm very happy to hear frm the twins' taekwando master that they are doing well in this martial art. I was told they could easily do the Back kick very well compared to many other kids as this stunt is not an easy one. As for the basic steps , they tend to do it wishy washyly as they find them a bit boring. That's the main problem with my twins. They are not low IQ but very playful, easily distracted & have no heart to do something which is monotonus though they are the essential basics. In school they are also playful & talkative instead of concentrating on lessons & finish their homework.
Almost all teachers give the same remark!

These are some of the shots i took while they were doing their Taekwando green tip test:

Boys, mommy know you are very creative & could excel but if only both of you would just put in a little effort to do more revision & concentrate on your studies...then I'm sure you both would perform much better in whatever you do.

Those of you who have school going kids or twins who are schooling, do you face the same problem of them being too playful & not concentrating in class? I really admire some of my friends'kids who are self driven to do their homework & diligently study on their own when exam comes...definitely not my twins!

Backdated Post: Part 4: Dennis had wheezing

13 january 2009

My 2nd twin had asthmas when he was 2 yrs old. Thankfully my other 3 kids (including the elder twin) were spared.

Since twins started swimming lesson at age 7, Dennis had not had asthma attack for 2 years after that.

Lately due to the Winter cold air frm other continentals, the weather was rather cold last week. Dennis developed flu like symptom & had wheezing when he breathed. Fearing that his asthma attack is back , triggered by cold, I took him to the emergency unit at General Hospital at 6am.

Their service was good. Just a quick registration & directly we went to the nebuliser room specially for asthmatic patients (not having to wait in queue despite other more serious cases waiting outside).

This is Dennis during the nebuliser treatment.

This rascal of mine can still fool around being hyper despite his condition.
I still remember I read somewhere that said "All asthma has wheezing but not all wheezings are asthma!" With that I was hoping the wheezing was just due to the cold trigger. There was instant decrease of wheezing post treatment & Dennis could resume school that morning itself after the treatment.

After the nebuliser for 2 consecutive days( morning & night) at GH, Dennis is OK now.

Year end concert posts in Blogsphere.

I foresee that many proud mommies & daddies will be blogging on this Year end concert thingy around this time of the year. Very sure many would agree with me.
As a matter of fact, my 4 kids just had their's last night. It was indeed a KISS..(kept it simple & sweet).

My jasmine was the youngest in the 4 & 5 year old group (she is only 3 yrs but since she showed interest like her 4yr old cheh cheh..i encouraged her to join in with the teachers agreeing to that). Just moments before the show begun, she started to tear & cried. More so when she went up the stage crying for "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!
I was right in front of her (she was at the front row next to her sister Juliana)signalling to her that "It's OK..mommy could see you clearly" and busy taking her pictures & video.

It was soooo cute to see her crying yet at the same time continueing her dance steps which she did very well without mistakes. It was like evrything was tuned..just like she showed me during rehersal at home except this time fully dressed up with the props & with make up on.

As the stage was dark with only discolights on, the video looks rather dim.
See if u could spot Jasmine dancing as she was crying calling for Mommy (left of the stage). Juliana cheh cheh was beside her (right of the stage)

Girls with farmer dance.

Happy Holidays Children now that school holidays are on.

Our beautiful Sunday 21.9.08

Today is a very exciting and important day for us (the 9 yr old twins boys). Today our Taekwando Master will be conducting a test for us white belts.

So first thing in the morning, mom has prepared very nice & nourishing breakfast for us. She called it Mommy's Combo Breakfast.
Take a look... another simple yet healthy and appetising meal to kick start our day.
Combo breakfast (Fried crabstick, french fries, steam sausage, Mini Maggie Mee & Japanese cucumber with Mayo(to force us to take some vege).

Then we went for our Taekwando lesson and test. The result will only be out next week. we were sooooo nervous and made a lot of mistakes.

After that mom and dad took us out for lunch to give mom a break from cooking. After that we went to TESCO to do some shopping and hang out. We dropped by the GINTELL shop.

First we did some "KUNGFU fighting" on the machine on display.

Then daddy couldnt resist and joined us.

Next we tried the massage chair...

mom oso cant resist but pamper herself with body massage while dad on the background was busy tryig out the bicycle.

After all the fun, we adjourned home and mom has to prepare dinner for us. What did we have for dinner?

Simple homecook chicky meatball tomato, garlic & basil spaghetti...yummy!!!
BTW the basil was plucked from mom's herb garden.

She finds it very convenient to use the spaghetti pot which she won from San Remo contest. As she pours out the boiling water, mom simultaneously had her facial steam!!

Then for dessert, we made orange and sarsaparilla (sarsi) sherbert made from this icecube bag which mom bought from Jusco.

After dinner we help mommy to wash dishes and hang her laundry.

That was our fruitful beautiful Sunday!

Are your twins or multiples having the same characteristics, personality or intelligence?

They may look alike but are their characters the same? Are they equally introvert or extrovert? Do they have the same talents?

If they are schooling, do you put them in the same class or different?

Mommy was advised by her twins's school principle once (before he retired) that twins should be placed in differnt classes to encourage their individual development. However, she decided not to separate them when she registered them for Standard One in chinese school and pleaded that both her twin boys be put in the same class for easy time management of time table and after school activities schedules. Moreover, one twin is more a leader while the other is more of a follower. If they are separated, they may have separation anxiety and also stressful particulary for the twin who is more dependent on the other twin.

Do you have such encounter? Please share your thoughts.

Our weekend Saturday 13 Sept 08

Weekend especially Saturdays are always very busy for mummy and our twin kor kors.

We both girls skip nursery as daddy would love to spend time with us. Kor Kor will need to attend tuition class and taekwando class while mommy go work to earn extra for us.

So mommy wakes up very early every Saturdays to prepare breakfast, do laundry and clear the garbage before the "sampah man " comes... while we (daddy, kor kor and us) still lazing in bed.

This Saturday she prepared spaghetti for us using the PREGO cheese and herbal sauce and the Japanese SOBA noodle

Here it is..Yummy and thumbs up from us!

Normally we do not favour cereals but since mom won the VICO hamper a few months back, we decided to try it and we love the taste ..healthy and yummy.

Today we skipped taekwando because mom took us to The Malaysian Twin Registry function where about 8 couples with twins gathered for the first time. Mom has announced this 1 month ago in her previous post here where today we finally see the doubles!! However majority of those bloggers who responded were from K.L, Cheras and Klang Valley who could not attend this gathering. Nevertheless, we Ipohites had a great time attending this TWINS gathering for the very 1st time.

While the parents of twins were having their power point presentation by a doctor

and sharing their twins motherhood with other mommies of twins,

the twin kids had their fun party with games,

colouring contest

cake cutting event.

and finally photo session for all the twins and their proud parents.

This is just the kick start of the Twins Registry of Malaysia launched in IPOH for those twins willing to take part in research ethically approved by The ministry Of Health. More events to come in future. Out of Ipoh folks wait up for your turn.

Later at night, mom cook dinner for us and here are the menu for Saturday night:
1) Nestum Tomato Sardin

2) Fried potatoes with CHilly Saucy Soya Balls

3) ABC Chicken soup (picture not shown here as we are sure everyone knows it's carrot, potatoes, onion soup.)
This little chef here insisted on helping mum shred the carrot skin

Stay tune for what we did on Sunday!
