Year end concert posts in Blogsphere.

I foresee that many proud mommies & daddies will be blogging on this Year end concert thingy around this time of the year. Very sure many would agree with me.
As a matter of fact, my 4 kids just had their's last night. It was indeed a KISS..(kept it simple & sweet).

My jasmine was the youngest in the 4 & 5 year old group (she is only 3 yrs but since she showed interest like her 4yr old cheh cheh..i encouraged her to join in with the teachers agreeing to that). Just moments before the show begun, she started to tear & cried. More so when she went up the stage crying for "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!
I was right in front of her (she was at the front row next to her sister Juliana)signalling to her that "It's OK..mommy could see you clearly" and busy taking her pictures & video.

It was soooo cute to see her crying yet at the same time continueing her dance steps which she did very well without mistakes. It was like evrything was tuned..just like she showed me during rehersal at home except this time fully dressed up with the props & with make up on.

As the stage was dark with only discolights on, the video looks rather dim.
See if u could spot Jasmine dancing as she was crying calling for Mommy (left of the stage). Juliana cheh cheh was beside her (right of the stage)

Homey Sunday!

Sunday Nov 2, 2008

We did not go anywhere on Sunday. Just stay home to help mommy & daddy with house chores.

We started our chores after breakfast:

"Mun" Egg Noodle with bittergourd & oyster sauce Chicken
&

Lobak with Thai Fried Rice

Afernoon after the heavy breakfast, mommy steamed some "COLOURFUL APOM' for us:

Ingredients:
1 packet of APOM flour
150 ml water or full cream milk or orange juice
2 Grade A eggs

Beat the egg intil smooth,
add in APOM flour and mix thouroughly.
Add the water/milk or orange juice

Once the mixture is smooth, pour out into paper cups on aluminium containers or baking utensils.

Add your favourite colourings.

Steam for about 15-20 minutes. In between the steaming period, remember to make "X" cut in the middle of the APOM .

It's that simple.

What's cooking for dinner?
Nasi Lemak Combo

(For KIDS)

(FOR MOMMY & DADDY)

Mom used pandan green paste to add a greeny tinge to the rice cooked with coconut milk. (Cant really see in the picture due to the lighting)

She then prepared the "Ayam Masak Merah" , Stir Fried Spinach (to make us eat vege again!), Fried Groundnuts, & ABC soup for the little gals who cant take spicy food.

After dinner, mommy prepared our "recess pack" for school tomorrow.

A variety of food inspiration frm bento bloggers:
steamed corn withn butter& salt, black raisins, steam OBOROTSUKI (stuffed fish roll), and hamburger sandwich, tomata sauce & mayonaise plus a complimentary SUGUS sweet.

What do you think of Mommy's first attempt of.....err can she name it bento?

Year end dilemma..school holiday fever!

For most kids it's nearing the exciting year end where school holidays are just around the corner but for poor mommy (who is not wrking since our "Indonesian alien" betrayor left us) it's gonna be a year end dilemma & "empty pocket phobia".
Why?

School holidays = more expenses (treats for kids, EVEN FOR SMALL simple vacation or outings coz mommy got 4 kids)

Year end = more expenses for Xmas gifts, E E's wedding (auspicious month), getting ready for school next year (uniform, books, new registration for nursery, etc, etc).

It's really no fun when you need to restrict your spending so much!
Do you have the same phobia of going through this Empty Pocket syndrome?

Juliana & Jasmine's nursery concert is coming soon

...sometime in October after Raya.

Everyday they come back frm nursery, they will sure practise between themselves. I'm very thrilled especially with Jasmine who is a year younger than her cheh cheh n yet doesn't seem to be shy or afraid to move. They really can shake & twist & I hope they do not have stage fright on the real day.

Take a look at their rehersal at home;

I know I shouldnt compare but honestly, Who is better Juliana (4yr old) or Jasmine (3 Year old)?

Besides, the girls really love singing & dance movement. Jasmine loves to shake her bum bum...but really cute!
