As the saying goes "Diamonds are girls' best friend" but I would rather have the saying of "Money is women's best friend!" because with $$$ one can buy anything besides diamond! Having said that,I only had 2 diamonds in my life. One is a very tiny (sorry dear if I need to emphasize on the size) pair of diamond earrings which my "dear" bought for me during one of our honeymoons to Bangkok/Phuket which I'm still wearing till today. The other was a diamond pendant/chain which I won from a radio valentine contest.Sad to say I lost it while swimming in a pool (which I've forgotten to remove before the swim).
Since Xmas is just around the corner & since I haven't got a diamond ring from my hubby (our wedding ring was just a gold ring), perhaps I should start shopping around for diamond rings and ask him to use his VISA to buy me eco friendly ones from Created-Diamonds especially Diamonds by Gemesis.

Medical Uniforms & Scrub Tops
As healthcare workers working in a hospital environment, it is compulsory for us to wear our uniforms.
The most common complaints I hear from my nursing collegues are about their boring standard nursing uniforms. There are not much choice of pattern to choose from locally here.
Internationally the Medical Uniforms wore by medical staff (whether they are doctors, nurses or paramedics) are more or less the same design.For the head of units/department or Health Ministry to choose a Medical uniform/ scrub top to suit everyone’s individual tastes sounds like a daunting task. Perhaps that is why most of the uniform seen locally here are quite standardised, boring and dull!
However lately I came across some Scrub Tops which are pretty cool, fashionable, affordable, even fun and yet looking professional.
My nursing collegues will surely be delighted to have a chance to wear these fashionable range of uniform. They will sure wish that the hospital management would allow them to put on these unique selection of fashionable and colourful range of nursing uniform to add cheer and personality to their daily nursing chores.
My doctor collegues working in the Intensive care unit especially the younger age group might just love the choice of these slim cut, streamlined, colorful and comfortable scrub tops. The colourful patterns will surely cheer up the sick patients staying in the intensive care units and regular wards and even speed up their recovery!!

Elegant Pieces of Artistic Collection
On my recently created new blog named ArtisticPhysiomom on blogspot, I was searching for artistic stuff to blog about, ranging from artistic meals to art & crafts, advertisements, hairstyles, etc.
I happened to bump into a great selection of something I would call unique,artistic, elegant & superb craftsmanship.
These Murano glass pieces & jewellery are ideal gifts for my good friend's birthday which is around the corner & a colleague's upcoming wedding.I'm also solely tempted to get one for my own artistic collection particularly the Murano Birds (though I'm not a bird lover). The love bird set would be an ideal ,thoughtful and elegant wedding gift for my cousin brother's wedding in October - one that will be treasured for a lifetime. I find the details and gracefulness captured by Murano artisans are so captivating.
What also caught my attention was the Murano glass pendant. Each piece is handmade in a traditional manner with no two pieces are alike. Be it in my casual outfit, work or night wear, I'm pretty sure these pendants will sure to add elegance, style & artistic pride to the wearer!
Emmm.. so shall I get the Pink Candy Murano or the Black Candy Necklace or Arianna Ruby pendant or...
My gosh! So many to choose , cant even make up my mind on which to get at the irresistible "slashed down prices".

Crowd control
Crowd control is the controlling of a crowd, to prevent the outbreak of disorder and prevention of possible riot. Examples are at football matches and when a sale of goods has attracted an excess of customers or refugee control. It calls for gentler tactics than riot control.
Materials such as stanchions, crowd control barriers, fences and decals painted on the ground can be used to direct a crowd. Keeping the crowd comfortable and relaxed is also essential, so things like awnings, cooling fans (in hot weather), and entertainment are sometimes used as well.
Specific products that are used to implement line management and public guidance in high traffic areas include retractable belt systems (which incorporate a stanchion post and the retractable tape) and wall mount systems (also incorporating a retractable belt but are surface mounted). Post and rope systems are also popular, especially in banks and theaters. So far I see the ropes are usually of red velvet ropes like those commonly found in banks, theatres and shopping complexes!
Besides the above crowd control gadgets, barricades are also commonly used as objects or structures that create a barrier or obstacle to control, block passage or force the flow of traffic in the desired direction. Adopted as a military term, a barricade denotes any improvised field fortification, most notably on the city streets during urban warfare.

Trade show Exhibits, table covers, table top displays & Directors chairs
Lately I've attended a few functions & noticed some interesting trade show exhibits, event table covers, table tops display.
Then i decided to google for more illustrations to compare with those available internationally.
I found out that Trade show exhibits are used at a variety of events to present products, ideas, build awareness and more. They can be printed or you can Velcro graphics to them. They are extremely portable and utilize a shipping case that can be checked in as luggage and converted to a podium. For example like these.
As for Event table covers, they come in a variety of shapes and colors. They can be printed in rich colors and you can add your logo. Used at trade fairs, job fairs, conventions, in stores and other events.
Table top displays are just like exhibits, except they fit on top of a table. They come in panel systems, pop ups, banner stands, etc… Presenters should order table covers too.
Another creative idea used in trade shows are using directors chairs as seatings.
Directors chairs are made of hardwood usually and have been used in the film industry for 100 years. Trade shows use them for seating because logos can be silk screened onto them. Havent seen before? Take a look here.

Moving & looking for direct TV Service?
Do you have ASTRO channel at home or do you normally just watch programmes from your local direct TV providers?
Since the day I subscribed to Malaysia Astro cartoon & sports channels, I hardly watch them because my hubby & kids are the ones who conquer them. If you are staying in other countries, which direct TV service are you using?
One day if I have a chance to visit a friend in California, I'll check out their directTV service over there.
Sometimes I wonder, when one has to move from Malaysia to overseas country, how fast and how convenient can they get their directtv service without incurring much unnecessary cost?

I went to a recent MATTA fair here in our place and was quite surprise to see the number of "Show Stopper Event Canopies & event Concession Stands" outside the actual MATTA (Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents)fair exhibition area. These stalls were actually not promoting tour & travel items but merely communication network providers like MAXIS, HOTLINK, BROADband, etc.
The Printed logo canopy and other styles of printed tents are used by a wide variety of companies nowadays selling products on the go. They are great for outdoor events come rain or shine! The canopies & concession stands may come in colourful & very attractive designs & look quite easy to be set up. If you want to have an idea what I am referring to, click here.. These canopies are the mainstay of presenters at all types of fairs and festivals.
Besides, those canopies & stands, Trade show exhibitors can also use trade show carpets to add a nice comfortable touch to any exhibit. There is even a line of printed flooring, so that end users can add a logo or message to the flooring.

What's your outfit for work and for casual?
Depending on the kind of profession and work you do, different women have different preferences in their dressing to suit the occasions.
If you are in corporate line, are you the one for Suits? If yes, would you prefer suit skirt or suit pants? Me, neither!! Thankfully in my profession, I don't need to wear such formal & boring outfits!
Instead, I'm more for "Business Casual Wear" that make me looking relax at work yet neat and pulled together.This type of business casual wear falls into the middle ground between formal wear ( suits and dresses) and street wear!! They go perfectly with my lab coat at work.
What about for weekends casuals? I'm sure many who have to wear uniforms & formal clothings for working days , would go all out for weekend casual outfits- be it when you are at home, on shopping errands, dropping the kids off at a friend's house, hanging around for some relaxation, or even going out on the town? My favourite would be cotton spaghetti stripe Tshirts with cotton short pants or jeans!!
So do you favour any partiicular clothings designers?
